I'm sure that wherever you live there's an Earth Day Festival near you this month. Here in Albuquerque, our Earth Day Festival 2025 is being held on Sunday, April 13 at the Balloon Fiesta Park. I'll be there, at the Citizen's Climate Lobby table, booth B-8. Please stop by if you're in town so we can talk about the importance of electrification, which is the theme of the festival. I'm doing this because I vowed that with our new administration, I'd get active. And now? It's time for action. But . . . it's scary. What if Cranky Uncle shows up?

Not a problem. I'm taking time to read this fun book that I recently discovered entitled Cranky Uncle vs. Climate Change. Yes, this is a book written so that kids can understand most of it. But adults will appreciate the fun comics making it easy to learn AND remember the information. It's helping me get over my jitters about talking with people eye-to-eye about climate change.
Here's more information about Albuquerque's Earth Day Festival. It looks like it's going to be tons of fun! Since we can't hand out any paper or stickers, I'll give you an ink stamp on your hand or arm if answer energy questions. And while you're at the festival, you can take EV car and bike test rides or look at scooters. Watch and listen to dancers, live music, ambient entertainment, birds of prey, wolves. Buy some plants. Or snuggle with an adoptable puppy.
You can get to Albuquerque's Earth Day Festival by shuttle or by bus if you want to avoid the traffic. You can still buy tickets online or at the door for $5.
However you decide to celebrate Earth Day, let's make sure Uncle Cranky doesn't prevail on Earth Day 2025!
